Coke Sign

 

I noticed this hand painted Coca-Cola sign on the side of this old brick building as I drove through Willis, TX, several years ago.  Since first becoming aware of it,  I have driven by several times, always in too big a hurry to stop and photograph it, until today The textures of the fading, eroding paint on the decaying brick are wonderful.  The overcast sky and the light rain that was falling really accentuated the red and green paint.  This building is no longer in use and perhaps may be demolished in the future.  I am happy to have captured this image - there probably will not be new signs painted like this one.
